Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary Certificate in Youth Work/Community Welfare/Social Work and/or equivalent experience.
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts, morning 7am - 3.30pm, Afternoon 3pm - 11pm + Sleepover until 7am, including weekends 
  • Demonstrated capacity to utilise a strengths-based and trauma informed care approach in supporting young people experiencing disadvantage
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to child protection legislation
  • Demonstrated positive communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to the rights and responsibilities of young people
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to work within a team
  • Understanding and commitment to WH&S principles and guidelines
