The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity available for a Senior Return To Work Business Partner to join Newcastle Anglican. You will be responsible for facilitating injury management best practice for both work and non-work related injuries and illnesses across a business group portfolio.
This position has a strong focus on supporting employees in their recovery and achieving positive outcomes in line with treatment plans.
This is a permanent Full Time vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide early and ongoing injury management support to injured team members for both work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Provide support for workers compensation injury claims across a business group portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with workers compensation legislative requirements and uphold best practice injury management principles.
- Develop tailored return-to-work plans, support evidence-based treatment and address barriers to rehabilitation.
- Key point of contact to our insurer, injured workers, people leaders and medical professionals to coordinate, monitor and support progressive return to work strategies and positive claim outcomes.
- Facilitate return to work meetings, medical case conferences and claims reviews to negotiate effective recovery and claims outcomes.
- Education and coaching of people leaders and other key stakeholders on injury management best practice to increase engagement and advocacy, through the promotion of benefits and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure all organisational properties are well presented and always maintained to project the Newcastle Anglican image and logo; continually monitoring the security facilities at all locations.
- Set the standard for the maintenance team including performance reviews and professional development to ensure optimum performance within a team environment.
About you?
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Health or a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience as a RTW Coordinator
- Good knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation
- Good organisational skills and record keeping
- High level attention to detail and focus on risk management
- SIRA RTW Coordinator certification, desirable
