The Opportunity: Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and leading a small team of analysts and project managers, an exciting new permanent opportunity is now available for a Program Director to join our team to establish the organisation’s project delivery to best practice, lead governing strategic business projects, and ensuring alignment to the strategic objectives of the organisation.Role & Responsibilities:   Oversee the successful delivery of complex business projects, ensuring alignment with program outcomes, budgets and customer needs.Lead program delivery to a large workforce, including employees, contractors, and service organizations, to ensure efficient and ethical delivery of program services.Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with quality standards and compliance with policies.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and proactively assist the Project Sponsors during negotiations, presentations, and communications to stakeholdersMaintain a focus on risk management including safety, quality and change throughout project lifecycle through appropriate controls and assurance activitiesDevelop and implement strategies to improve organisational maturity in project delivery and program managementThe successful candidate:Minimum 5+ years' experience in managing projects and programs, in a complex and high-risk business environmentDemonstrated Program or Major Project management experience, leading and successfully delivering strategic IT projects/programs of work, ensuring delivery meets budget, time and quality standards.Proven experience managing complex programs of work across business units or separate entitiesPlanning, leading, managing and motivating multi-disciplinary project delivery teams, applying best practice project management methodologies, managing both internal and external (contractors and vendors) to achieve outstanding results.Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with leaders.You will be a motivating and inspiring leader who excels at building their own team’s capability and maximising performance.Demonstrated experience in prioritising competing demands, whilst delivering quality outcomes.Why Work for us? Newcastle Anglican places people at the centre of our work.
