The Opportunity:
As a member of our Allied Health Team, this position is key in delivering Physiotherapy services to the People we support across our Aged Care service delivery.
To be successful in the role you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life and independence of consumers by delivering holistic evidenced based physiotherapy services and programs. You understand the importance of communication and a team culture and are also able to holistically and autonomously.
Part Time and Full Time opportunity available working across our two day centres at Booragul and Belmont, with our Residential Aged Care sites and in home. We are a dynamic team who work well together and provide exceptional support for each other and the people we support.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Developing holistic and person-centred therapy plans in partnership with the People we support and their carer/advocate
- Conducting comprehensive assessments that identify functional capacity, strengths and lifestyle goals, that are important to the People we support
- Delivering a suite of physical and functional programs with a focus on capacity building, driving restorative outcomes and promoting healthy ageing
- Providing individualised and group therapy services enabling the People we support to maintain functional capacity, prevent deterioration, optimise quality of life and to re-engage with community activities
- Regularly reviewing and evaluating allied health and therapy plans to ensure identified goals are achieved and quality of life and healthy ageing promoted
- Maintaining current knowledge of contemporary physiotherapy techniques and healthcare issues, and ensure all clinical practice is in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements, professional code of ethics, professional code of conduct and available evidence
About you?
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Proven experience within Aged Care
- Demonstrated excellence in assessment and the delivery of evidence based physiotherapy and restorative interventions
- Understanding of case coordination and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Experience working with people who have dementia and their carers
- Experience and commitment to working with quality and risk management systems
- Capacity to provide education and hands on learning in the workplace
