This may include household activities, medical and health needs, attending community events/activities, personal care, meal management, transport, communication, and managing emotions and behaviors.Successful applicants will:demonstrate initiative and be able to set priorities;work collaboratively and achieve individual and team goals and targets;understand the principles of person centred support;build and develop positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and fellow staff members.Position Requirements Certificate III in Disability or Home and Community Services or equivalent experience;Previous experience in, or demonstrated commitment to, actively supporting people with a disability;A strong understanding of the issues involved in working with people with a disability (intellectual, physical or multiple) and a commitment to social justice;Competence in developing and/or working within the framework of Individual Plans;Completion of a pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid certificate and valid driver’s licence.Joining SamaritansOur team are the heart of what we do here at Samaritans.
