The Opportunity:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced & driven Case Worker in our Early Intervention & Activities (EIA) service. Work with families with children 0 to 13 years and young people aged 3 - 17 years within the Wyong LGA. This is a Temporary leave coverage Part-Time role 21 hours per week.Until 12/05/2023The primary focus being:Recognise the family’s strength and achievements and encourage the family to make informed decisions to achieve their goals.Develop a case plan with the family and provide early intervention focused support and professional and accountable casework for up to 12 weeks.Provide advice, advocacy, support and referrals to assist with issues related to domestic violence, drug and alcohol misuse, mental health, learning difficulties, NDIS, children with challenging behaviours, housing etc.Provide opportunities to develop further skills in budgeting, cooking, household routines, child development and behaviour management skills and more.Provide 1:1/group/online parenting programs such as Bringing Up Great Kids, 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching, Engaging Adolescents and/or link families to appropriate parenting programs delivered within their local area. About youTertiary qualification in Social Science, Diploma of Community Services, Youth Work, Counselling, Early Education or similar.Proven ability to utilise a strengths-based approach to communicate and develop respectful and professional relationships with children, young people and familiesDemonstrated ability to engage vulnerable familiesDemonstrated ability to design, implement and oversee case plans using appropriate models of interventionDemonstrated understanding of the child protection legislationDemonstrated positive communication and conflict resolution skillsUnderstanding and commitment to WH&S principles and guidelinesUnderstanding of principles of behaviour management, resilience and conflict resolution.Valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check, Drivers Licence & First Aid Certificate  DESIREABLE:Demonstrated ability providing or assisting in facilitating parenting programsKnowledge of Central Coast area and local referral service options Who we are?
