The Opportunity:
The Carer Development Case Manager is responsible for providing professional and accountable case management for children and young persons, their birth family and carers in the Samaritans Permanency Program. In addition, Case Managers are required to proactively engage and work with birth families to facilitate restoration for birth families and children/young people in care. This will be achieved through regular birth family and carer contact, remaining non-judgemental and empathetic and providing enhanced strategies for positive parenting.
The Permanency Program operates across Newcastle, Central Coast, Upper and Lower Hunter and Western NSW regions.

The successful applicant will also possess or have willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal history check, Driver's License, first aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
