You will be responsible for developing and leading the physiotherapy services across our aged care services as well as support and oversee the physiotherapy team.

Role & Responsibilities: â¯â¯
Provide a high standard of clinical service that reflects and promotes evidenced based practice
Manage an appropriate case load effectively through planning, clinical prioritisation, and proactive time management skills
Function as an advisor in relation to the provision of Aged Care Services. Ensure the alignment of technologies, methods and practices with the Home Care Standards, Charter and relevant organisational policies and procedures
Identify individual consumer’s needs resulting in the development and implementation of a holistic therapy plan in consultation with the consumer, carer, relevant stakeholders, and frameworks (internal and external)
Ensure allied health and therapy plans are developed based on the goals, strengths and identified needs in consultation with consumers. These are to be reviewed in accordance with policies and frameworks (internal and external)
Leading and participating in programs that may enhance the older persons wellbeing, quality of life and preference to remain living in their own home
Conduct and complete comprehensive assessments and defined measures, and use specified data collection tools and outcome measures to record and demonstrate changes in function and to ensure consumer outcomes
About you?â¯
Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
5+ years working as a Physiotherapist, including experience in the aged care sector
Sound knowledge and practical experience working with people who are ageing from an enablement, restorative and wellbeing perspective, including assessment and the delivery of evidence-based skills
Understanding of case coordination and multidisciplinary teamwork
Demonstrated ability to lead and promote change and contribute positively to workplace culture
Experience working with people who have dementia and their carers
Experience supervising or mentoring staff
Capacity to provide education and hands on learning in the workplace
Demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
