About the role
The Communications and Engagement Officer leads the development and delivery of the school’s communications strategy, creating impactful content across channels and supporting engagement initiatives, events, and marketing activities.

Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications or Public Relations, or commensurate relevant experience in one or more of these fields.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage a broad range of communication tools
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships across the school community and the Newcastle Anglican shared services teams.
- Demonstrated support for and the capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on Christian, professional and personal behaviors and the school’s core values
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Evidence of the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work well under pressure and to meet timelines/deadlines
- Evidence of preparation and implementation of clear communication plans, results monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Web design and management skills using WordPress and other website design platforms
- Demonstrated skills in the use of various types of social media
- Demonstrated capacity for effective management to achieve agreed goals and strategic targets
