The Opportunity:
Are you a Business Analyst who does more than just document requirements? Do you thrive on taking a business vision and turning it into a crystal-clear roadmap that even the most junior technical team can follow?
At Newcastle Anglican, we are in the midst of a significant multi-year transformation. We aren't looking for a "spec-writer"âwe need a Translator and Architect of Change. You will be the bridge between our diverse business units (schools, aged care, and agencies) and our delivery teams.
This is a 12-month contract with a planned opportunity for a second-year extension.
Why work for us:
· Stability & Impact: A structured roadmap of projects with a focus on meaningful community outcomes.
· Generous Salary Packaging: Benefit from our NFP statusâup to $15,900 of your salary tax-free (covering Mortgage, Rent, or Bills).
· Flexibility: We offer flexible working options (including compressed week, RDO’s & 9-day fortnights)
· Education & Wellbeing: Up to 40% off school fees at Newcastle Anglican schools, plus Fitness Passport access.
What you will do:
· Translate Vision into Reality: You will work with stakeholders to extract "the what" and "the why," turning vague ideas into clear, functional requirements that provide a foolproof guide for our stakeholders and IT teams.
· Bridge the Technical Gap: Because our IT environment is evolving, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring technical solutions actually meet business needs. You’ll simplify complexity and provide the "logic" that ensures successful delivery.
· Master the Process: Map "as-is" and "to-be" processes with a focus on business transformation, not just system clicks. You will identify risks and "roadblocks" before they become project issues.
· Partner with Stakeholders: Build deep trust with everyone from frontline staff to Directors.
· Drive Quality: Assist in the validation and testing of solutions to ensure that what was built solves the problems identified.
About you:
· You have a proven ability to take complex business problems and simplify them for technical teams, and vice-versa.
· Demonstrated experience in Business Transformation projects (not just small IT upgrades). You understand that change is about people, not just systems.
· You are a people person. You can navigate difficult conversations and bring stakeholders along on the journey.
· Like our Project Managers, you are driven by seeing a process improve and a project go live successfully.
· You don’t wait for instructions. If there is a gap in technical understanding, you step in to provide the clarity needed to keep the wheels turning.
· Relevant tertiary qualifications and a toolkit of BA methodologies.
