Adolescent and Family Counsellor·       Permanent Part Time - 4 days per week·       Location: CessnockAbout the Opportunity: The Adolescent and Family Counsellor will provide person centred support and a strengths-based, psychological therapeutic and collaborative approach to assisting young people and families. The primary goal of the Counsellor is to effect reconciliation between young people and their families, to ensure young people stay within the family home, are restored to their family or work towards independent living where this is acceptable and appropriate. The Adolescent and Family Counsellor will offer a range of services to young people, families and young parents including offering information and advice, support, advocacy and counselling, alongside medium to long term casework, mediation and referrals to relevant agencies or specialist services.
